About A Boy

There is a boy who
loves his grandma,
his sister, and his brother

This particular boy,
hides his problems behind
his goofy self.

He doesn’t want attention drawn to him,
as he is hurting deep down inside
for things that he can’t control.

He plays basketball and football
to keep things off his mind
and to keep himself calm.

When nights falls,
it is time to go home,
and he wonders what is going to happen next
what can he do to help keep his family safe.

We will never know,
because he hides the truth.
