Don’t

Don’t
by Brooklyn
Haddonfield, NJ

they spit
they yell
you see a frown

(a brown face with her mouth with no word coming out screaming for help)

They kick
They punch
you see teers

(rolling down her face like water dripping from the sink)

you look
you run
you get away

(not stopping)

you stop
you think
that isn’t okay

(don’t just runaway do something)

you tell
you speak
you help

(saving someone’s life)

you learn you see
never let that be
