Downtown Detroit

Downtown Detroit
By Raven Hadnott

Downtown Detroit
What about it? It’s
noisy and loud with tall building
that take away the light
such a fright so Dark
With crime Mostly
in the night Don’t Wanna Bare The Sight
Highway To Highway Till
The Guy That Says Come My Way
Rape You Shout No Can Hear You
Though Its Cold All Winter Long
Police Take So Long To Come
That’s The Metro Almost The Ghetto
The True Hood The Litter On The Ground
Is Piled Up Like Glitter
