Family Matters

Home
I used to call home
A place that you could eat sleep and shower

I learned that home is not
The place you live or sleep

Home isn’t the place you play games
Home is within the people you love
And care for

Home is the people that keep you warm
Home makes you Happy, Sad, even Mad

I learned that if you close yourself out
From the people that love you
And the people you love

Then you’re basically homeless
No matter how long you stay somewhere
Or how many times you leave

As long as you don’t leave the ones you love
You will always have the biggest, cleanest, richest, better than ever
