How We Treat People

My dad always said
“Treat people how YOU want to be treated”.
Tall, blue eyes
Deep voice and very strong

I used to treat people badly
Until I got treated
The same way

It pained me
Going on and on
Day after day
Year after year

My dad taught me
And one day I learned
Treat others
How you want to be treated.

From that day forward
I am always nice
And kind
Treating people how
I want to be treated.
