I Never Forgot

I Never Forgot ,by: Jacob Arnold

I never forgot the times that my mom did all the work just to keep a roof
over our heads.

I never forgot the days when we were struggling most of the times just to have food
in the cabinets although it seemed like an empty cabinet that proved useless.

I never forgot my mom being the one to pay all the rent and feeling like having the world
on her shoulders.

I never forgot the days when I felt like I was all alone and didn’t exist in this world.

I never forgot when my mom would find ways to explain things about the world
that would make me feel at ease and happy instead of feeling the opposite.

And I also never forgot to appreciate all the times my mom was around to support us
and to make things alright again.
