Jualine and the Trees
Jualine and the Trees
By: Bernetta Smith
My neighbor Jualine comes down the street
The trees say “me oh my.”
When she walks by they swing,
and sway when she’s away.
When Jualine comes down the street
the trees say, “me oh my so sweet.”
They watch and watch until
she gone
Then the trees just run along.
But now she gone
and death has come.
The trees are sad.
They stare all day but
there’s no Jualine.
No, she is gone,
so then the trees just run along.
