Light at the End of the Tunnel We march through this tunnel This dark, everlasting…
Let Me
Let Me
By: Hunter J. Bozelle
Let me be free
To write the way I say should be
If you are to expect my best
Then you need to put these rules to rest
If you want me to write without a doubt
Then let me take my own route
Let me be boundless
To write that which makes you breathless
The reason I can’t write
Is because it doesn’t feel right
Let me write without requirements
So I can show you what the choir meant
To show the colors of autumn
Without fret of reaching the bottom
I need my pen boundless and free
For me to show you what you want to see
Let me write how I believe it should be
To show my depiction what I see
There is a lot that I can do
And I know you know too
To truly write a poem worth the ink
One must feel like they might actually sink
Within the waters the titanic lay
To feel the cold and fear of not seeing the day
Let me write to the height of my potential
That which I see as essential
What Poetry is to me?
It is freedom to show people the way you want them to see
Let me be free
Let my pen be able to flow aimlessly
Just let me
Paint exactly what I see
With very detailed descriptions
And certain shadow positions
Just let me write
What I think is right
