Life’s a Beach

Life’s a Beach

by Faith Knappe

salty air, sandy hair, the

endless summer take me there,

sand between my toes,

waves that flow and go,

my bathing suit leaving

tan marks in the sun, it is

may the time of summer,

when the flowers bloom,

the bees come and groom,

the growth of the wetness from one

tiny drip drop, the time when the

boards get off the shelves, and the

locals go and surf the swells,

the time when you forget about all the

bad things because you

just hiked a trail that was a beautiful sight

and you’re proud,

you will never regret when you caught your

first wave, it is like when you first

opened your eyes as you were a baby,

the breeze in the air, the

time you felt so loving is the time you

were in your space, mind, dreams,

but most importantly,

in your LIFE
