Look

Look

By Jackson Nethercutt

People say He’s not there

Because He’s not in our sight

But He’s just like the wind

Whistling throughout the night

Why do people not believe it

Because they’ve never seen Him before

Why do they have to see it

When He’s right at you’re door

He’s here always watching

From day’s begin to day’s end

He is a tamed lion

Dangerous, but you’re friend

And if He’s not here

Then where are you

He is loving, but feared

He is me, He is true

But He’s not truly me

He is just a large part

If you really want to find Him

Look into my heart

Because he still walks these streets

When it’s all said and done

With scarred hands and scarred feat

He’s brighter than the sun

But it is His humility

That keeps Him so discreet

But if you stop and look around

You know He can’t be beat

How can you find Him

When you don’t ever look

Because if you doubt Him

Look into His book

Because He is always here

If we stop to look and see

Because He was once destroyed

To set us all free

So you can hate, you can doubt

But if you do you’re a lie

Because He’s what life’s about

And you’ll find out when you die.
