Love With Sorrow

Love With Sorrow

By: Faith Ferguson

My father always taught me

that love overcomes anything.

Love teaches all

he used to say each and

every day.

No matter what the situation,

you and love will have

to face it.

Me and you we use

love too.

Kelvin was tall with

hazel brown eyes.

Hairy from head to

toe. Blacker than even me

like the color brown,

but darker though.

Big mind full of ideas,

but a christian throughout

the years. Died at an early

age to me.

Somewhat the age, half of

one hundred it seemed.

Still love can overcome anything.

With this sorrow, I

still hold.

Even though I’m sad

now, still I was sad

back then. But, with

this I’ve changed the

game by doing my

own thang.

Not seven years old

going on eight anymore, but

fourteen going on fifteen

a NEW me, me soon in

the year of twenty sixteen.

Then I’ll be fifteen as a

brand new me.

Hopefully I won’t

be writing poems

though.
