As she comforts me

feeling the love she shows

wanting me to live a better

life than her.

a women who’s had a struggle ,

A women who would pace back and forth

through midnight ,

knowing her husband was at a bar

where he was drunk driving his car

A women whose  feet

swiped as she tired getting sleep .

a women who tried giving

everything to her daughters

wanting better for them.

A women so sweet as a peach

A women who doesn’t give much to herself

but gives a lot to others.
