My Brother

My Brother

By: Angelene Perry

Tall, fun, active person

Likes to be outdoors, wears baggy clothes,

has brown eyes.

Gets in a lot of trouble, his life has been like needles and tacks so sharp that when it

Pokes you, you will feel a zing.

He has felt so much pain it has brought

Not just tears to my face, especially on days that were

Gloomy and begin to rain. No sun except for clouds blocking the pathway.

Like closed gates that never could open. And where the darkness

There’s no light, it feels like a dream but searching and searching there’s just nothing in sight.

He has his own way of talking

in dialect sometimes it doesn’t really make sense,

I correct his words as we talk I feel like an annoying nerd but so what it’s just words.

Joking around having good laughs all the good memories will last.

He would want me to graduate High School,

College, stay out of trouble, be a good person but I can’t make any promises.

Both of us brother and sister

so similar alike we get in fights but never get up tight.

I miss him so much with all my heart, hope to see him soon but I have

to deal with the days that draw us apart.
