My Favorite Superhero

My Favorite Superhero

By: Jacqueline Bustamante

Mark always taught me that I’m stronger than what I think I am.

How do you get up when the whole world points their finger at you and what it does is bring you down.

When you look in the mirror and it breaks … not because you’re ugly but because that’s what everyone says! The pieces of that broken glass, why do you use them to create all those invisible scars? It’s okay because Mark is the only one who sees those scars.

Mark can read more than just a book, he read through her soul in a matter of seconds just when she thought she could hide all the pain. He is a very wise man. Almost never wrong that’s why our 12th general order is “He is always right!”

He is seen and heard by many because he is very tall and anyone lights up with fear if they are near. A man that won’t let you get off the hook because he is stronger than Hulk! He’s not Superman he doesn’t know how to fly but Oh boy! Can he sail, mainly because that was a big part of his life… He’s not Batman either, but I can tell you this- he is my favorite superhero!!

Mark saw more than pain in her eyes he saw potential he saw something nobody else saw. He believed that she was strong even though she didn’t.

He believed that if she sets her mind to it, she can do it!

He believed that everybody else was wrong!

He believed that she was strong even thought she didn’t!

He believed!

Mark believed and now his eagle flies!

She comes down sometimes but he pushes her back up!

You need to find that eagle inside of you and fly…. Fly!
