My Home Town

Hammond
A small city in Indiana
That isn’t very interesting
But I still call it my
Home

As I walked down
Sibley Street
I see my shadow on the sidewalk
From the bright
Yellow sun shining on me

During beautiful hot summers
I can hear the
Laughters of joy
And excitement of my
Neighbor’s yards
And smell the delicious food they are
Cooking on the grill

Since I was little
My family and me go to one
Of the Great Lakes
Lake Michigan

I enjoy walking
On the warm sand by
The shining blue water
Watching all the waves hit the
Big, tall grey rocks cliff

Hammond
My hometown
The place I grew up in

The weather changes a lot
One year you have beautiful white snow
Falling with windy, cold days all winter long
Then hot humid summer days

I enjoy waking up
To birds chirping and seeing
The sunlight light up my room on
Hot summer days

My town may
not be very interesting
And small but
This is my home
And is
The place I would
Always love and
Always be my home

Hammond
