My Life

My life showed me I can do anything if I try.
My life has been tough since my brother went to jail,
I always wanted to do anything to see him.

Then finally he got out of jail.
I was happy because,
my bad dreams did not come true.

I never thought that he
Would again be breathing, standing in front of me.

So I stopped to think,
“Is everything I fought for gone?”
I remembered the challenges that have passed.

He is in a better place now with his
family.
