My Mother And I

My Mother And I

By: Colton Richard Tsosie

Driving down the road we come to realize,

that it’s dark, we’re trying to go home.

But along came a train that didn’t want us to.

Knowing my mom, she’s impatient and drove fast across

The track so we could reach our destination.

Me and my mom aren’t that different, we are as close

As the numbers 1 and 2.

When she’s upset or sad, I comfort her until she is ready to rise again.

My mom’s dream is to be a movie star thus I dream that too.

I have great expectations for her

To make all those dreams of hers come true.
