My Place

My Place

by Jacob Groggett

A small place,

in the great big world,

There is plenty of nature around,

the trees’ roots bulging from the ground.

This place is also full of animals,

you can hear them wherever you go.

Dogs’ barks pierce your ears,

but bird tweets make you feel calm.

Cars groan by,

their sounds faint in the distance.

The trees sway in the wind,

which is cool against my skin.

A place where I do many things,

a place where I have had so much happiness.

This,

this place is my home.
