Violence

why do we have violence,

why can’t we have nonviolence?

 

Like thieves stealing & breaking in homes

instead of buying them

and like people having guns & using them

instead of not having them

 

Like people selling drugs for money

instead of saying no to drugs and getting a job

and like police chasing us

instead of us chasing our dreams

 

Why do we have violence in the world,

why can’t we have nonviolence?

we shouldn’t have police watching

our every move

It’s like when they say “evil isn’t born, it’s made”

It’s the same with violence

 

Why can’t this world be peaceful,

why do we have war everywhere,

can everyone just get along?

 

We have some people helping

but it is just not enough

we should show some

social intelligence

be a leader

not a follower

 

I’m just saying,

why can’t we have nonviolence?
