Oh JackJack

Oh JackJack

By: Jasmine Aguilar

The country music on the radio,

the ham and cheese toast bread lying on the hot pan,

the two best friends I see walking down the hallway together

laughing, gossiping, and enjoying their friendship.

It all reminds me of you.

I feel emptiness

I feel the salty, watery tears dripping down my face

Oh how much I miss you

and all the things we used to do.

I miss you like a fat kid on a diet misses junk food.

I miss the sleepovers every weekend, the party nights,

the 24/7 selfie taking.

Oh how i miss it all.

We used to criticize every second of the day because it was our job,

We used to go through hell and back with our friendship,

We used to roast on Rosa for fun,

We used to be best friends,

You were my JackJack

But now that is all gone and I feel like Sopa Maruchan without water.
