Grandparents You wouldn't be here without them For those who don't know what I'm talking…

I remember my brother well
His light brown skin
His thoughts about life
His funny native glare
When he gave us hugs
His soft brown hazel eyes
His love for animals
Remembering makes my heart swell
His warm care
With the love in his heart
And the love everyone he met gave him
The shadows in his empty room
We didn’t blink a lash
My grandma and uncle
and him
in the crash with a bang
Our hearts stopped
We couldn’t move
We were numb
Our hearts popped
Oh how we missed
The hum of his truck
The laughter of the radio
The boy we cherished
Our hearts were searching for answers
Our arms were waiting for his hugs
Your dogs are waiting to be fed
Our mom waiting to get called into the room
