Poetry is . . .

Poetry is original,

with rhyming syllables

Poetry will never have perfection,

like humans, but

both can show affection

Poetry can be bittersweet

like dark chocolate in between your teeth

Good poems show donʻt tell

funny how smiling can hide anything

Poems have no ending

so come back whenever

poems don’t have to rhyme

That’s what poems are;

for expressing your feelings

Poetry is anything!
