Racist Stereotypes

Racist Stereotypes

by Jah’Quri Parnell

What started all this generational hatred?
We live in this world with just so many racists while black people giving some people jitters. Walking down the street saying “what’s up my brotha.”
Some of us are too young to have our finger on a trigger.
But all of these racists don’t mean a thing to me because we don’t have slavery.
But some of us take our freedom for granted like it’s a part of life.
Some of us kill, rape, and take stuff that we like. Some disrespecting their parents,
But what if they were gone or you were taken?
And we should be thankful that some of us have an education,
Because there is somebody in this world would dream about having the things you have all the time.
It’s time for us to stop black on black crime.
Back in slave days all we wanted was just a hero, we fought back by protest so white people would stop calling us negro.
But why do people think that black people life is no good?
Like life is based on people getting shot like “Boyz-In-The-Hood”
Did these people believe in Jesus? In slave days did they have pastors?!
Did they think it was wrong for slaves to get impregnated by their masters?!
So should all slaves think that every mixed man was their uncle?!
Or did they ever think if really they originated from the jungle?!
Should I go back in time so I can go preach with the Panthers?!
Or convince myself Malcolm X has all the answers?!
Should I go back in time to bring a slave alive so they could see today?!
Or should I just eat chicken, watermelon, and drink kool-aid on week days?!
This racist thing in 2015 got people talkin’, so rest in peace to Eric Gardener, Mike Brown, Freddy Gaye, and Trayvon Martin!
