Shiny Sun As My Family

Shiny Sun as my Family

By Jaretcy Sanchez

Sunlight over the horizon like

a half circle over the straight line

sunlight coming through my window

trying to wake me up with its shiny

hands, my mom is as shiny as the sun

I try to close so that I don’t see the light

I remember of seeing the light

through my window, shining in the

whole room

I am suddenly sitting in front

of the window waving goodbye

to another sun in the car and

telling myself “Ain’t that beautiful

for everyone to see”

The sun and sunlight are shiny

but wait! Okay I had my glasses

on, but my family is shinier than

the sun every time I look at

the sun it reminds me as how

important my family is

I love my shiny family!!
