I’m a stereotype in my own right

Typical lightskin girl

Defined by looks

Because I’m light I have to be white

I can’t be black

SEE!

My hair isn’t nappy

Darker girls get snappy

“White girl with a tan” “little oreo” “cracker”

Harsh words they still say

To this day

I just cry as I lay

Just to make matters worst

Who and what i like

Makes Christians’ brains burst

Bible says don’t judge

But since I hold hands with a girl

People think I’m disgusting

Saying I can’t have both

They think my life is a joke

I’m not understanding this logic

of this perfect society

The society that never accepts variety

I’m going to be me

Like you’re going to be you

Yet still this hatred will

Stick like glue
