“You wouldn’t make it far”

that’s what they told me

 

“You’re not smart enough”

that’s what they told me

 

“You’re not gonna make it”

that’s what they told me

 

“You’re too ugly to be that”

that’s what they told me

 

“You’re not good enough”

that’s what they told me

 

“That’s not a good idea”

that’s what they told me

 

“You’re gonna fail”

that’s what they told me

 

“Stop trying”

that’s what they told me

 

“You’re too bad to do that”

that’s what they told me

 

“No one’s gonna help you”

that’s what they told me

 

“You won’t be successful”

that’s what they told me

 

“Your dream is not gonna come true”

But I’m halfway there.
