The Beautiful Coastal Side

The Beautiful Coastal Side

by Ian Kaneshiro

From the aging atmosphere of a forgotten world

Away from the graffiti swirl

Waits a place of pleasant sight

Where the waves are at full height

Best to be there

when the sun gives it’s hardest glare

Feel the spray of the ocean mist

Where colorful fish make a home in the coral twist

The perfect wave to ride

In the beautiful coastal side

As I leave to the ocean crash

The pure sleek water

Reflects the dull orange sunset that shines to the world

Like a force that shines out the dark

As I leave to the ocean crash

I remember the beautiful coastal side
