The Education System

At 6:30 am, I get up to get ready for school
I walk down the crowded hallways
Lockers are empty
Teachers are smiling ready for work
The crowd of students was like the ocean

My highschool is huge and diverse
Labels like popular and normal
High school is the jungle

Trained at a young age to learn how to speak
Taught now to speak “properly”
High school is the jungle

Homework is stressful, but home is for family not work
Reading textbooks is stressful, but we need our literature
Taking tests is stressful, but test don’t let us know anything about reality

I hear the education system is trying
I believe that they are failing
