The Girl With No Name

The Girl With No Name

By: Schyler Albrecht

She sits in the grass; the wind sweeps her hair,

but all she does is give a blank stare.

Some call her weird, mysterious, creepy, others

say she walks in your shadow; is needy.

It is true, she is needy, she knows people think she’s

creepy.  But she sits alone, under a banyan,

listening to her thoughts echoing in a canyon that

she calls “my mind”.

Her parents keep screeching, yelling and preaching

their hate to the world while she tries on sleeping.

But all she does is stare at the mountains, wondering,

dreaming of escape.

A lone tear rolls down her cheek, as she thinks the

impossible.

The Girl With No Name.
