The Great Crashing Wave

The Great Crashing Wave
By: Jacob Kendrick

The Great White Ocean bares its fangs,
As if from the gallows the whole island hangs,

This great large and powerful wave,
Must be confronted by the brave,

To help the people with hearts of gold,
The young and healthy, or sick and old,

This great island, strong yet small,
To this onslaught will surely fall,

And as the great wave crashes down,
All those around will hear it’s sound,

And of the mourners there were plenty,
For this good world had lost a great many.
