The Monster

The Monster

By: Emily Saldivar

SNAP! SNAP!
Bright light flash like lightning.
One more pose.
She’s done suffocating.
Pounds of dark color are taken off of her fragile face.
Her true beauty is revealed, shining like the sun.
Yet, they go back and deform her again like squeezing a lemon.
It’s exposed for all to see.
What have they done?
They’ve created a monster.
