The Ocean
The Ocean
By Sara Watson
The ocean: beautiful, wild, and free
Looking out into the mysterious sea
This is where I feel at ease
With the salty ocean breeze
The sun glistening onto the sand
This great feeling is my one demand
You feel the warmth beneath your feet
It’s a pleasure nothing else can beat
All you have to do is tie back your hair
And release your every care
I want nothing more
Hearing waves crashing onto the sandy shore
Washed up, there is a squid
And sandcastles built by a kid
Bronzed people lying in the sun
The fun has just begun
The sea breeze running through your hair
Along with a salty smell in the air
As the sand is tickling your feet
A sandy nosed puppy you meet
I could spend days just looking at the sea
I feel alive, I feel free
There is no such greater commotion
Than the one found at the Ocean
