The Summer’s Life To Me

The Summer’s Life to Me

By Jesus Olivas – Estrada

            The clouds fade away

as a new bright shine comes out.

            The cars and grass

start to shine like the sun.

            I hear laughter

and water splashing with birds chirping.

            I smell my mom’s cooking

and the summer’s fresh air.

            I see people playing football

with joy and laughter.

            I wonder if this

fun will last forever.
