The Truth

Not everyone is who they say they are
You can’t always see their true colors
It takes time with the naked eye

Somebody can claim that they are your friend
They claim that they your back
That nothing can break your friendship

Then something happens and they say it’s over
You can’t figure out why it ended like that
Until you realize it was all a lie

You feel like you such a fool
To fall for something you thought was true

You try to get over it but you feel so weird
And it starts to carry on throughout the year
You have a hard time trusting people

But then someone comes along
You don’ trust them at first
Then they show you who they really are

And you realize that you can trust again
That if you just wait you’ll find the truth that you’ve been waiting for
The one that’s going to bring out of a dark place
