The Walk in the Neighborhood

 The Walk in the Neighborhood

By:Aniyah Saulters

Strolling past the 100 houses

as more to come

the workers banging on the wood

to get the structure just right

Smelling dozens of bright red roses

then the terrible stench of

cigarettes the cancer sticks

we call them

brings a tingle to my nose

as it burns the inside

the aroma of the dogs that

slightly run as they go for a

water hydrogen or a long light pole

to pee on

as if there going to explode

as they hold it in another

second and finally release with a

smile on there face

children laying in the grass

boys playing football or basketball

with there friend the girls play

with there barbie dolls
