There Is Danger

By: Shanice Watts

There is danger
There is store’s, homes being destructed by invasions
There are young teens forced to have their hands behind their head
There is handcuffs squeezing their wrist
There is sirens screaming up and down the road
There are helicopters flying over me and my neighbors houses
There is bullets racing past my window
Creeping, Sneaking, Peaking
There by the liquor store in the middle of the night
There is danger
There is a stream of blood pouring down the sidewalk
They get killed just because they talk
There is kids doing horrible crime and don’t get caught
But innocent people take the blame when it wasn’t their fault
Tragedy comes sneaking in the black streets, but no one comes help, and face to defeat
