Walking in His Footsteps

Walking in His Footsteps

By Dallason Davis

He is tall as the pine trees

He is stronger than a bear

Nobody could do the work he does every day

He goes out of state to work to put food on the table.

We are almost the same by the way we walk and talk

I did the same things he did when he was in school we are different

In a way

My dad believes I could do any thing

In my life and get out of the reservation but the drugs and alcohol makes all his

beliefs in him he tries to put me on the right path so I don’t go and be like him

when he was my age.
