What Poetry is to Me

Poetry is like walking down a dark scary path

but coming to a beautiful joyful end

Poetry is like sailing through a grey stormy sea

but landing on a majestic and calm island.

I like to express myself or let out steam without hurting anyone.

It’s a dark winter day hidden with joyful surprises

sealed away for others to find the riddles

that I have finally found out with poetry.
