Mr.Night

Mr.Night
By Monét the Poet

Mr.Night
What a fright
You hide your face
From the light

The trees bend down
To cover your shadow
The street moves with you
To make your footsteps shallow

You creep like a church mouse
Or a thief breaking into a house
You might be a quiet soul
Or a man who gets around like a mole

Mr.Night
You dodge the street lights
You run with the street mice
And live the street life

Mr.Night
You mouse
You freely roam
Without a house

Mr.Night
What a fright
I hope to never see
You in the daylight
