My Happy Place
My Happy Place!
by Kaya Lopez
The shivering in your body that you feel when you step out the door,
The chapped lips and the cozy blankets,
The cozy fireplace that keeps you warm,
Oh so cozy at night.
The snow that is falling,
From the clouds up above,
Mountains made from snow,
Making wonderful snowman,
From the snow mountain up above.
Streets are lit up,
With red, yellow, and white.
Parties rocking, and people drinking all night.
Little motels with all these small rooms,
Parents telling stories,
Stories about laughter and some scary ones if you will.
With the moon’s reflection onto glass,
Comes a smile from a little girl,
She’s blonde with brown streaks,
With a big red bow.
She plays with her doll,
In her sun dress,
With a big yellow bow,
All ready to go.
In the daytime,
The sun is shining,
The drips of sweat,
dropping from your face.
Flowers are all blooming,
All colorful too.
Trees swaying in the wind.
Happiness was blooming all throughout the day.
People looking into each others eyes,
Looking into their souls,
Saying hi
to the people they love most.
