Shay’s Wonderful World

Red;
Hot sun-baked bricks emitting waves of heat;
A poisoned apple, gleaming in the sunlight;
The color of blood and war;
Anger;
Red

Orange;
Leaves falling off a tree on a brisk autumn day;
A butterfly, hovering just out of reach of a dog’s nose;
The color of goldfish and pumpkins;
Pleasant;
Orange

Yellow;
Forsythias blooming along a country road;
A rubber ducky, floating in a bathtub in front of a laughing baby;
The color of flowers and the gentle sun;
Happy;
Yellow

Green;
Pine needles resisting the cold, bitter frost;
A pea, rolling around a plate like a soccer ball;
The color of plants and frogs;
Thriving;
Green

Blue;
Rain drops gently watering flowers;
A wave, reaching up to the sky to push surfers over it;
The color of water and blueberries;
Serene;
Blue

Purple;
Emperors’ capes flowing out behind them;
A sunset, setting behind the horizon, off to a strange and exotic place;
The color of eggplants and amethysts;
Luxurious;
Purple

This is my place;
A place where vivid and vibrant colors are everywhere;
A place where feelings of all kind are expressed through various means;
A place that is home to cool and crazy creatures of all sorts;
A place that is OUR place;
A place named Earth.
